Open Your Eyes Mural
As part of a Public Art class, one of my Fox Lane High School mentors involved students, faculty and staff in the creation of a 30 x 5 ft. mural that brings life to a school hallway. In the style of muralist Isaiah Zagar, the mural makes use of found materials and colorful grout. It was a privilege to help with each stage of this meaningful and ambitious project.
Figure Drawing Lesson
I created a figure drawing lesson with a focus on foreshortening. Students practiced sketching others around the school.
For the after-school, student-led art club I created sequential storytelling and character design workshops that were well received by these highly motivated and enthusiastic students.
The Advanced Studio Art teacher invited me to give a lesson on how to use this mobile app for video editing. Below is the handout:
High schoolers from all grades took part in decorating this interview booth.
